A new report from Professor Alison Wolf has suggested that Britain risks losing a key supply of skilled workers if the government does not row back from plans to cut further education budgets.

Professor Wolf, who also produced a government review of vocational education in 2011, said in her latest report that the current funding system for further education is unsustainable and inefficient, and that government must look more holistically at education opportunities for adults.

The report was featured in today’s Guardian and on BBC’s Today programme (2:32).
